You’ll hear a bit about my own efforts to save a 40 acre woodland.  Where once there was a wooded wetland inhabited by deer, fox, woodpeckers, owls, and others, there are now luxury apartments and a giant mountain of dirt.

We also take inspiration from Marjory Stoneman Douglas who became an activist at age 79 and continued to advocate for the Everglades for over another quarter century.  All audio clips of Marjory in the podcast are courtesy of the Everglades Digital Library. To hear more from Marjory in her own words, visit the Everglades Digital Library (A State University System of Florida PALMM Project.)
